Proposal Writing Training for Research Grants

“Research Grant Proposal Writing Training”, which is a carefully designed training course that seeks to provide a comprehensive introduction to writing proposal(s) for research grants. This training is organized as a foundation course for anyone who is not familiar with or confident in writing research proposals, especially for young and emerging researchers.

This course targets academic researchers that are new to writing research grant proposals. This course will provide knowledge about research grants and an introduction to fundamental tools for grant proposal preparation for academic researchers enabling these to apply for various research grants in their respective field of studies.

With focus on research grants, the course will cover the following:

(1) Research grants, opportunities and understanding of grant sources

(2) Timeline, screening process and requirements: Two grant sources

(3) How to prepare a proposal

(4) Submission mechanism(s)

(5) Practice examples and discussion of participants proposals

The course will be fully online, and the trainer will help the participants to develop skills to prepare research/grant proposal(s) through lectures and interactive learning, and assignments. There will be assignments to assess participants’ understanding of the content of the training at the end of each session. Therefore, participants are required to follow the guidance during lectures and complete all assignments on time to receive the completion certificate of the course. The assessment criteria for the completion are detailed in the Assignment Criteria section.
