Training

General Information

The YRI is committed to supporting Myanmar students, as well as young and emerging researchers both within and outside of Myanmar, in conducting academic research on Myanmar-related, regional, and international issues by offering a range of research-focused training programs.

The YRI training programs are designed to meet the needs of individuals who are interested in conducting research but lack prior experience, as well as those with limited research background in the fields of human rights, peace, democracy, federalism, and social science studies. The training is delivered by both international and local instructors who possess extensive experience in conducting research within their respective disciplines and in mentoring research projects. Upon completion of the program, participants will be equipped to conduct research in a systematic, academic, and ethical manner by applying the skills acquired during the training.

YRI is also developing an inclusive e-learning platform that offers flexible, research-related courses accessible to all, regardless of location or time. This initiative aims to expand learning opportunities by providing high-quality academic resources and training that support the diverse needs of learners and researchers within and beyond Myanmar.
