Research (General Information)

The research section is responsible for overseeing the research conducted under the YCU research strategy and action plans. Since its establishment as YCU-RI, it has been supporting Myanmar independent academic researchers, willing to explore the contemporary Myanmar issues on social justice, democracy, human rights, and sustainable peace and to integrate their scientific research findings into the existing knowledge, through different research grants. Currently, under the PNMD Programme, the YCU-RI is technically and financially supporting 30 males and 50 females researchers through the collaborative research grants, small research grants, short-term fellowships and mini-research grants. There are 51 research projects in total and the following are popular themes among researchers.
